Spa At Home - Bath Time

I swear, if you can find the time to take a bath nightly it will change your life. You will feel more relaxed before bed time and it will teach you to take time for yourself. Even with all the chaos that happens at home on a nightly basis, you can still make your bathroom a spa oasis, just make sure you have a LOCK. If you have a "Do Not Disturb" sign, even better! Here's what to do:

Candles: Candles make a huge difference in relaxing you immediately. The calming light just puts me right in to relaxation. I would keep the scents for your bath and use non-scented candles. Make sure they are protected from splashing in some sort of votive style holder, plastic would be best but if glass is all you have - make sure it's away from the tub.

Music: Always use soft and soothing music and don't use a radio puleease!! Something about the interrupted chatter just ruins the whole mood, don't you think? Try a waterproof shower CD player and a great soothing CD like the one I just picked up at the Mandarin Oriental Spa called Oriental Wisdom 1 or any of the Solitudes Collection are great!
