The Constant Massage
You have no idea how many newspapers and magazines I subscribe to. The problem is finding the time to get through them all (yah I know, BIG problems). When I do read something that interests me, I almost immediately place a call to try it out. The other day I read an article on a massage therapist that comes to your home and charges £180 for a massage! When I read this I thought to myself, "I've had numerous massages, what could possibly be so great for that amount of money?" So, of course I had to find out and thanks to the luxury of a being an editor, I didn't have to shed out the £180. 2 days later Mohammad the "massage mastermind" entered my front door, he had just returned from Paris, Milan & New York after working on his very private list of celebrity clients.

Mohammed was very professional and sweet and came equipped with his own table, iPod, speaker and oils. He uses a combination of Shiatsu, Swedish, Reflexology and Deep Tissue massage which is a great combination. I briefed him a little on his experience and he told me that he started out 10 years ago doing massage work on various different people in the fashion business and soon his name was being tossed all over the "oh so fabu" fashion and celebrity world.

What I didn't read carefully enough in the article was that the massage was 2 1/2 hours! I thought maybe 1 1/2 given the price but I had no idea. I didn't think there was a way I could possibly give myself 2 1/2 hours to relax, I am not good at relaxing but I just so happened to have found a way. The long massage allowed Mohammad to work on my whole body which made me realize that I had no idea how much more time is needed to actually make your aches feel better. Don't you hate when you get a one hour massage and just as you are drifting off in to "sleepy sleepy land" they tell you to turn over? I hate that, it's always just when I am getting in to a state of ahhhhh. With this massage, it eliminates that step. This is obviously not for everyone's budget, but if you can afford it, it's definitely worth it.
