Keeping Your Mani/Pedi Safe
I love this idea from Dr. Carolyn Collection. I know that many nail salons now-a-days have a kit you can buy and leave there (especially in NYC) but it never includes the nail clipper or cuticle nipper which to me are the most important items to be properly sanitized. A few years ago I read an article about a woman that was infected with Flesh Eating Disease starting at her foot from a local nail salon (fortunately she is fine today). This story has always scared me and is ALWAYS in the back of my mind every time I get a manicure and pedicure. This kit was developed by Dr. Carolyn Siegel because she had treated countless patients over and over again for contagious diseases that they developed from regular nail salon visits. Thank you Dr. Siegel, this was a much needed idea!
