Why is my spa draining and how should I fix it?

Our pool and spa have shared equipment. The spa sits above the pool deck. The spa is draining after I fill it: not right away, and not when the spa pump is running. However, after 12 hours (which included the pool pump running) the spa is 4/5ths drained. The valves are electronic and seem to be changing position properly. Any answers?

Answer:
One of the valves is leaking or not closing completly. A food grade dye could be added to the spa and you would find where it is leaking out of. Don't jump in the spa until the dye has been rinsed out. If it leaks into the pool it would be so dilluted it should not cause a problem
