Anyone know of a self-treatment for Piriformis syndrome? massage therapists?
Hey there - I have a connective tissue disorder which causes my joints to waaaay too lax, so the muscles remain tight to compensate. I used to go get massages or see a sports orthopedic to help, but I dont have insurance or a job right now, so thats not an option. I have been using biofreeze on it like crazy, but it only helps so much. Any ideas on how to loosen this up? I can't sit right now without wanting to hit the ceiling, so any advice/insight is appreciated.
Thanks
Answer: Sit on a tennis ball three times a day - move it around on your butt it will help break it up.
But you probably should see a good Chiropractor to clear up the SI fixation that is causing it.
Good luck.
